What they think
I've been enjoying Wellbeing Tonics fresh juices for over 18 months as a post workout 'tonic'. They've been the perfect and most delicious way to re-hydrate and refuel. I was then persuaded to try the 5 day juice cleanse as a way to reset my metabolism, rest my digestive system and of most interest to me, lose some weight! I completed the 5 day challenge which involves 3 different juices a day, a nut mylk, and a vegetable broth. The flavours are amazing and as you get different juices each day, no chance of boredom! Although it is calorie restricted, I never felt I could not exercise. If anything, I felt more energised. It certainly gave my body a much needed rest and yes I did lose some weight! I went back for another go a few months later!

Wellbeing Tonic Gut Resets are totally awesome ! A great way to review your diet and make some changes. The juices, soups and nut mylks themselves are great tasting and varied and of a very high standard. Great care is also taken preparing and providing everything you need. Thanks!

Lucy's juices are delicious and carefully selected, everything was so fresh and with varied ingredients each day. Her nut mylks are delicious and the combination made for a very healthy experience.

Having done the gut reset, I need to admit that I only took good things from it, but WOW...Great stuff! So colourful and so delicious. I really enjoyed trying all the new flavours and the feeling on my body. I thought it would be hard to give up solid food like bread and pasta but this reset showed me that I eat those things out of habit rather than nessecity. This was a really good expereince that has made me look at my diet in a new way. Thank you Lucy

Absolutely fantastic juices, I have been buying juice from Lucy for 18 months now and can't go back to store bought! Fresh and flavourful, interesting & delicious choices of juice available. The nut mylk is sublime!! I have done 1 5-day and 2 3-day juice cleanses and felt great each time. I Definitely recommend.

At first, I was sceptical. When a friend suggested three of us follow a five-day gut reset cleanse based on fresh fruit and vegetable juices, I thought to myself this was not for me. I remembered seeing that same friend doing a two-week long similar cleanse a year before and I thought I would not be able to cope with such a routine, even for a much shorter period. I had tasted a few of the juices. I already knew they were delicious. I was still scared. I was scared to feel hungry. I was scared to feel weak. I was scared to give in to temptation. I also saw this opportunity as a healthy challenge and eventually decided three days could not possibly go that bad. I even surprised myself feeling anticipation, and sort of ready to embark on the adventure. I definitely did not regret this decision. Following the advice, we cut alcohol and coffee and sugar from our diet one week prior to the three-day gut reset and reduced animal protein consumption. The hardest for me at this point was by far the sugar. This week without sugar really made me realise how addicted my body and mostly my mind were to sugar. When I could not resist anymore, I would replace sugar with less unhealthy habits, mainly sparking water and dried fruits. It is very clear during that week that sharing this experience with two friends whom I also work with made it much easier. Having a gut-reset partner provided me with support when I needed it, motivation as well. We looked out for each other. We were partly in this together despite the very nature of the journey being mainly on an individual level.
The first morning of the three days started on the wrong foot. Like a child wanting to please, I forced myself to drink the morning "tea" (hot water, lemon, apple cider vinegar, honey) but I could not escape the fact that the apple cider vinegar was not working for me. After this first bump on the road, everything went very smoothly and was actually much easier than I had expected. Unsurprisingly, every beverage was incredibly balanced and tasty. The lunch soups were amazing. The various drinks (juices, soup, nut milk, evening broth) spread out across the day kept me going and I did not feel I was really making any sacrifice. I did not feel hunger. I went to bed a bit earlier, which was an added benefit. Every morning, I was looking forward to being surprised with new colours, new ingredients and new tastes. I was never disappointed. Every recipe with pineapple felt like a sweet treat but my favourite was the juice incorporating fennel, and anything including celery. Three days felt long enough to make an impact yet short enough that the end felt within reach at any given time. I thought by the end of the cleanse, I would want to celebrate somehow but it has been a month now and I still have not had a sip of alcohol. The cleanse kept its promise. I felt and feel more connected with my body. I would be lying if I said that the cleanse allowed me to get rid of all my bad eating habits but it has definitely helped me on the path to a healthier lifestyle. Overall, I would recommend it without any hesitation and will probably sign up for it again.
